COACHING
At Cyclestudio we offer a range of coaching packages all aimed at one outcome – improving your performance on the bike, whatever your level of riding.
Whether you’re a complete novice to cycling, a club member who wants to take their riding to the next level or an experienced racer looking to move up a couple of categories by winning some regional, national or even international races, Cyclestudio Performance Coaching has the coaching plan that’s right for you.
You will have a dedicated qualified, experienced coach, sports scientist and strength and conditioning instructor working together for you and, uniquely, we offer the most advanced and wide-ranging performance testing and coaching facilities all under one roof. We’ll work with you to identify realistic cycling goals and provide personal, individualised plans and advice to help you achieve them. We realise that your time is precious so our aim is to look at your available training time and ensure that every last minute that you have to ride your bike is specifically targeted at helping you become a better rider. As part of a Cyclestudio coaching plan we can advise you on everything from initial bike purchase to equipment set-up, training, technique, nutrition and event planning.

BRONZE £60
Who is it aimed at?
​
If you’re a novice or less experienced rider our Bronze Coaching Package is for you. This is our entry level coaching package and gets you started. It’s specifically targeted at getting you to maximize the enjoyment of cycling by introducing you to rudimentary training and exercise plans that will quickly develop your fitness and efficiency on the bike.
What benefits will you see?

Improved fitness on the bike, making longer, faster rides possible and more enjoyable. You’ll also see increased health benefits and often our clients even start thinking about taking part in sportive and non-competitive events or even joining a club for more social, group rides.
How does it work?
​
After a consultation to establish current level of riding and what your goals are, we will then put together a on-line training plan aimed at achieving them and based on the amount of training time you have available. You can access and update your on line plan 24 hours a day as you progress. With the Bronze level coaching plan you will receive a 4 week block of training, at the end of the 4 week block your coach will communicate via email to check on your progress and you’ll get a personal review of your programme with your coach, this is where changes will be made to your program to progress you further.
SILVER £80
Who is it aimed at?

If you’re already an experienced rider our Silver Coaching Package is for you if you’ve decided you want to take your cycling up to the next level. Typically you’ll already be riding with a club or local group, or maybe even on your own, but regularly completing several hours per week in the saddle. If you aim is to be competitive in local events, sportive rides or maybe just see your FTP (functional threshold power) numbers go up or perhaps you need a little more focus on your training and preparation to help get you there in good shape.
What benefits will you see?

Improved fitness and efficiency on the bike, making longer, faster rides more sustainable. You’ll see a marked improvement in your ability to tackle more challenging, hilly terrain and resist fatigue better therefore a wider range of challenge events will be open to you as you’ll have the confidence and conditioning to take them on.
How does it work?

.After a consultation to establish current level of riding and what your goals are, we will then put together a on-line training plan aimed at achieving them and based on the amount of training time you have available. You’ll be given an initial performance benchmark test in order to determine your existing fitness levels, allowing us to build a structured, personalised on-line training programme which you can access and update 24 hours a day as you progress. This test will be repeated approximately 4 times a year to track progression.
Every two-weeks your coach will communicate via email to check on your progress and review your programme to progress you further.
GOLD £100
Who is it aimed at?
​
Our top-level Gold Coaching Package is for experienced riders who already have good fitness levels and have typically taken part in Sportives or maybe even competitive events like road races, time trials or triathlons. This package is aimed at taking you to the next, possibly highest, level of competition and involves regular testing with a sports science approach with detailed performance analysis with your coach.

What benefits will you see?
​
Improved fitness and efficiency on the bike, you’ll be able to compete with the faster riders in your events, be they the big international challenge rides like the Etape or Marmotte, multi-day endurance events like the gruelling Haute Route events in the Alps or Pyrenees. If you’re a racer you’ll be competing in high level events looking to move up through the license categories with improved fitness and technical abilities and if it’s Time Trials you’re targeting you’ll be seeing regular PBs at your selected distances.

How does it work?
​
We’ll send you a detailed on-line questionnaire that helps us establish your sporting background, current level of riding and what your goals are. You’ll then have a one to one meeting with your coach who will help you devise a weekly plan aimed at achieving your goals, based on the amount of training time you have available. You’ll be given an initial performance benchmark test in order to determine your existing fitness levels, allowing us to build a structured, personalised on-line training programme which you can access and update 24 hours a day as you progress. You’ll then do a further test at least every three months to help track and maximise your performance gains.
Every week your coach will communicate via email to check on your progress and at least once per month you’ll get a personal review of your programme with your coach, either done face to face or online, whatever works best for you.
